By P. barton (LONDON): being an ex trucker this had a great appeal to me, i drove trucks for 12 years till i had to give up my liecence due to type 1 diabetes, now type 2, i was impressed with the detail on this sim, the trucks and trailers are modeled superbly and the land scape is clear and crisp, though at times a bit samey, i don't remember that much greenery when i was driving, even when it rains the water hits the windscreen and the wipers clear it away and to say "experience life on the road" is a little bit naughty as it does'nt let the player have the fun of a freezing cold cab, flat tyres and batteries, and other delights of long distance trucking, any way i'm waffling, sorry, one thing i did notice, (don't know if anybody has) was the steering on the game, at first it was very eratic and all over the road, i turned the steering senistivity right down and tinkered about with the other parameters until i found a happy medium then i was away, (obviously this depends on the type of controller you may have) having happy memories, all in all this is good fun and great value for money, and its nice to learn i can still reverese a 40ft trailer (after some practise) into a loading bay , have fun !!!
By Mrs. H. S. Aldous (Norfolk, UK): I bought this game for my 16 year old son, at his request. It has been very difficult to get him off it since. It also appears to have an educational value in that he is asking questions relating to geography, weights of loads and fuel consumption. His father was a long distance haulier and my son wishes to do the same when old enough. Maybe he won't need a tomtom just this game! :-)
By Jonny: This simulator is very good, realistic and unique from others, only downside is that the game can lag, I have windows 7 and tons of space so it does annoy me but it does soon sort itself out and go at normal gaming speed, Aim of the game is to deliver cargo from depo's around the country to another, various places you would travel to while delivering cargo are ; London, Felixstow, Cardiff, Aberdeen, Plymouth, Carlisle, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Manchester, Newcastle and I may have left a couple out, overall a fun and exciting game where you can drive lots of different trucks, make money, deliver interesting cargo's (incuding diggers, and huge trailers) and lots of famous landmarks and brilliant graphical scenery.
By M. Harris: I really enjoy playing this game. It is much more fun than Euro Truck Simulator. I have played for hours and hours, and am not the least bit tired of it. The graphics are greatly improved, and much more content was added. There is a large variety of cargo, with special loads every once in a while. The cities are so realistic. WARNING; on older computers(3 or more years old in some cases), this game will not work well, even on the lowest graphics settings. But, on middle to high end newer computers, I assure you that this game will work fine. The manual that this comes with is very helpful, much more helpful than those of older trucking games from the 18 WOS series. The sleep timer is improved, and the fact that each delivery is timed gives this game more excitement. The police system is accurate, and the "Mail" section of the notebook is great as well. There are plenty of cities and cargo terminals too. You start out as an employee, and work your way up to a company boss. There were 3 more truck makers added, including a license from MAN. The makers really did a nice job, and I know I can say that German Truck Simulator is great, because it is just like this game. But, in UK Truck Simulator, you drive on the left side of the road, and the steering wheel is on the right, so if you do not want to drive on the opposite side of the road, buy German Truck Simulator instead.
